Pay: $32.81 / hour. Flat Rate

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an approved School of Radiologic Technology program.
  • R.T. (R) from ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider.


Summary:
Provides radiologic imaging to patients for the purpose of diagnoses and treatment.
Responsibilities:

  • Performs radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures using appropriate patient positioning, technique selection, contrast media, immobilization, and radiation protection. Evaluates finished images for technical quality.
  • Confirms physician orders. Consults with Radiologists as necessary. Identifies patient, introduces self and explains procedure to be performed.
  • Maintains inventory of supplies in work areas. Perform clerical procedures as needed. Transports patients as necessary. Orients staff as appropriate.
  • Functions as contact person for the facility Radiation Safety Program. Performs Radiation Safety Program safety monitoring and device tracking.
  • Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
