Aitkin AIS 4/05 - returning - Full-time / Part-time

Watercraft Inspectors serve to inform and educate the public to the threats of aquatic invasive species to Minnesota waters. Inspectors work at public water access sites educating the public by providing information to watercraft users. Inspectors will conduct a brief survey while inspecting watercraft for invasive species. This is a part time position for the weekends only.

This position requires you to attend and pass a MN DNR inspection training course in person and online.

This position requires you to a MN DNR decontamination training course in addition to a MN DNR Inspection training course. The Level ll inspector will have the same responsibilities as a Level l inspector, and be certified to perform decontamination services using hot, high-pressure water to decontaminate watercraft.

Responsibilities of Level l and Level ll Watercraft Inspectors:

Applicants must be 18 years of age to apply.

Must be able to work weekend and holidays.

Must have a valid drivers license.
