Our work depends on Field Service Manager joining our team to support our efforts in the Maintenance Technical Support Center, ensuring that USPS mail handling equipment is maintained and operational.

HOW A FIELD SERVICE MANAGER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
  • Directs and oversees field services activities within the organization.
  • Plans and develops policies and procedures for on-site installation, testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting for mail handling equipment.
  • Ensures all field service projects are completed within budget/deadline to meet customers' needs.
  • Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
  • Supervises non-exempt and exempt staff.


WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Education:
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or a related field

Required Experience:
  • 10+ years of related experience


Required Technical Skills:
  • Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures


Required Skills and Abilities:
  • Prior work experience overseeing field services activities within an organization
  • Strong skill planning and developing policies and procedures for on-site installation, testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting for mail handling equipment
  • Prior working experience all ensuring all field service projects are completed within budget/deadline to meet customers' needs
  • Strong communication and problem solving skills
  • Strong leadership skills

Security Clearance Level:
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance and successfully pass a thorough Government background screening process requiring the completion of detailed forms and fingerprinting
  • The security clearance for this program requires the selected candidate to have resided in the US for the past five years. The selected candidate cannot have left the country for longer than 90 consecutive days and no more than 180 cumulative days.
