TEACHER--VPK

This is an academic preschool located in Deerfield Beach, Florida, interested in hiring a VPK LEAD TEACHER.

FOR THE VPK TEACHER'S POSITION:

The Lead VPK Teacher is responsible for preparing our four and five-year-olds for Kindergarten and beyond using the Creative Curriculum. To fulfill this position, the candidate must meet the following qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:
1. 18 years or older
2. High School Diploma
3. Ability to pass a Level 2 Background Check
4. At least one year of LEAD teaching experience is required.
5. FL 45-Hour DCF Training
6. First Aid/CPR Certification
7. Having the CDA or FCCPC or an associates degree or Bachelor's degree in early childhood education.

8. Must have the VPK courses required to teach or take those VPK courses while working at the preschool.
9.. Ability to keep up with young children by standing, walking, running, bending, pulling, pushing, lifting, and carrying at least 30 pounds

10. Demonstrates knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices.

We are more than willing to train the right person to meet our standards but some proven experience and a genuine desire to work with young children is imperative.

• This is a fulltime position, Monday through Friday, with one hour lunch break.
• Must be able to work together as a team.
• Must have good communication skills and a self-starter. When in a classroom, able to teach and assist the teachers in an academic environment with the ability to guide the development of children in a loving and caring classroom. Responsible for the overall classroom management, leading a safe nurturing and engaging learning environment.
• Curriculum and lesson planning is a plus.
• Serve as a role model using a growth mindset to develop young minds and inspire a love of learning.
• Communication with each child's parent regularly through the tadpole communication app.
• Must have the 45 hours of training courses required to work in a preschool. Sometimes, you will have to substitute for a teacher or an assistant teacher in classrooms from ages 2 years old through 4 years old.
• Will be able to take in-service classes when needed

Job Type: Full-time--from$16 to $18 an hour
