Job Description
Our client, a well-established leader in their industry, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Accounting Manager to join their team. This position is critical for maintaining the financial health and integrity of the organization through meticulous record-keeping and financial management. As an Accounting Manager, you will be at the forefront of tracking the company's financial activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with the latest accounting principles and practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, maintain, and review financial records, including assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liabilities, and other related activities.
- Supervise the AP/AR Specialist, ensuring efficient and accurate financial operations.
- Perform general cost accounting and prepare monthly financial statements such as balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements.
- Maintain the general ledger, code invoices, set up new accounts, and assist in reconciling accounts and closing the monthly books.
- Manage cash disbursement accounts, payroll, customer accounts, and other financial accounts; oversee accounts receivable collections.
- Assist outside auditors by providing necessary account information and documents for the annual audit.
- Maintain and update the Fixed Asset List and manage the entry of new assets into the system.
- Prepare weekly and monthly KPIs, update and maintain financial metrics and reports.
- Contribute to budgeting and forecasting efforts and assist with monthly and quarterly board meetings.
- Stay informed on acceptable accounting practices and procedures, ensuring the organization's financial operations are up to date.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient knowledge of financial accounting and cost accounting.
- Familiarity with generally accepted accounting principles.
- Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software.
- Adaptability to change and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Private Equity experience is highly desirable.
Education and Experience:
- A Bachelors degree in Accounting or a related field is required.
- At least three years of relevant experience in accounting or a related field.
