Education Summer Camp Intern

A Summer Camp Intern will teach, co-teach, coordinate and/or assist in the preparation and delivery of summer camp programming under the direction of the Education Manager. The staff member will successfully coordinate and conduct classes with summer camp groups and contribute to the team effort.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

• Teach, co-teach or assist, as assigned, with summer programs and camp curriculum.
• Prepare and maintain materials, hand-outs, teacher tools and supplies related to camp assigned to assist and/or co-teach.
• Maintain rooms in which camp use, including preparing and cleaning as directed by lead teachers, manager and/or director.
• Attend scheduled trainings and meetings.
• Assist in camp entrance and dismissal, as assigned.
• Cordially great parents and children, follow check-in and dismissal procedures.
• Monitor children's safety at all times.
• Assist with other camp duties as needed.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completed freshman year at college or university.
• Clear written and oral communication.

KEY COMPETENCIES

• Previous experience in classes or camps for children ages 4-13
• Manage multiple tasks with attention to detail and accuracy; organized.
• Problem analysis and problem-solving skills; good independent judgment.
• Punctual and enthusiastic.
• Stand/walk for extended periods of time.
