Shipping Clerk- Afternoon shift (3:00p-11:30p)

Job Summary:

A Shipping Clerk's role is to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of automotive parts to customers while maintaining efficient and organized shipping processes within the manufacturing plant. They plan a role in the plant's logistics and distribution process.

Job Responsibilities:

Your supervisor may from time to time ask you to perform other related duties not specifically included in this job description. This job's key responsibilities include:

• Inventory Management: They are responsible for managing and tracking inventory levels of finished automotive parts ready for shipment. This involves accurately recording the quantity, type, and location of parts in the warehouse.

• Order Processing: Shipping Clerks receive orders for automotive parts from customers or other departments within the company. They verify the details of the orders, such as part numbers, quantities, and delivery addresses.

• Packing and Labeling: label packages with appropriate shipping information, including destination addresses, shipping labels, and any special handling instructions.

• Shipping Coordination: coordinate with shipping carriers or logistics companies to schedule pickups or deliveries of automotive parts. They ensure that shipments are dispatched on time and that all necessary documentation, such as bills of lading or customs forms, is completed accurately.

Job Qualifications:

• A high school diploma or equivalent is usually the minimum requirement for this position.
• Prior experience in a warehouse, shipping, or logistics role is often preferred.
• Experience specifically in an automotive manufacturing environment can be beneficial due to familiarity with industry-specific processes and terminology.
• ERP experience a plus
