The Accounting Technician is responsible for accounts payable, assists maintaining accurate agency journals and ledgers. Will train in payroll, to assist with new hire, employee status changes, terms / final checks, time clock procedures and time clock / payroll review. Will perform youth payroll for programs.

The Administrative Office and Accounting team help to ensure the proper functioning of the various programs and services within Looking Glass.

Qualified candidates have high attention to detail and at least one year's experience in accounting or bookkeeping. College courses in Accounting or Business are preferred. Excel experience is a must along with some familiarity with PC-and accounting systems. You must be able to complete quick and accurate data entry. We are looking for an organized professional who can maintain confidentiality while completing various repetitive accounting tasks.

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

  1. Accounts Payable:
  • Input data and pays invoices.
  • Verifies petty cash reconciliations received from programs, including making required transfers and/or check reimbursements.
    • Matches invoices to statements.
    • Reconciles accounts payable.
    • Files
  1. Closing:
  • Enter handwritten check information into g/l
  1. Payroll:
  • Assist with final check process.
  • Process youth payroll twice a month.
  • Prepare staff draws.
  1. Accounts Receivable:
  • Prepares contract billings and reimbursement requests.
  • Sends bills to collection when appropriate.
