Industrial Maintenance Technician

Are you someone with working knowledge and experience in installation, electrical, troubleshooting and repairs of overhead cranes, production equipment and heavy equipment?

Mack Industries is hiring an Industrial Maintenance Technician or Plant Maintenance Technician to add to our Maintenance Team. In this position one would perform duties related to the installation, repairs, and maintenance of the facilities and equipment.

Essential Functions

• Plan, schedule, coordinate, lead and perform preventative and corrective maintenance based on established procedures on facility equipment
• Perform and document safety inspections
• Work independently or within a team to diagnose electrical and mechanical issues with equipment and facilities within a heavy industrial manufacturing facility
• Follows up on repairs ensuring that the performed work is effective
• Ability to read and understand electrical and mechanical drawings and schematics
• Ability to read and understand operating and repair manuals
• Motor control experience on systems with AC and DC power
• Perform work on low voltage wiring and up to 480 volt 3 phase
• Willingness to work at heights above 20’
• Able to perform torch cutting and welding
• Performs routine maintenance and as needed maintenance on all equipment related to the production processes and plant facilities including but not limited to electrical, heavy equipment and cranes
• Willingness to develop new skills and progress current skills
• Willingness to assist other departments as needed

Education and Training

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Industrial Electrical Experience
• Industrial and/or Heavy Equipment Maintenance
• Industrial Facilities Experience

Minimum Qualifications

• Maintenance experience on production equipment and overhead cranes required
• Intermediate electrical knowledge required. Advanced electrical knowledge preferred
• Knowledge in plant maintenance, belt conveyors, overhead cranes, hydraulics and pneumatics, bearings, gearboxes, torch cutting and welding preferred
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to manage multiple operations at once
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Environment Conditions and Physical Strain

• Construction environment, seasonal weather conditions
• Due to the nature of the operation, the levels of noise, dust and dirt can be high.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs., on occasion
• Must be able to stand and sit for extended periods of time
• Must be able to squat, crawl, climb and kneel to complete tasks
