Domestic Personal Assistant

1. Full time, Monday – Friday, 8AM – 5PM, 40 hours a week.

Job Summary:

Jump into the warm and welcoming environment of our family residence in Orange City, IA as the House Coordinator. Partnering closely with a House Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring our home is both delightful and organized. If you have a passion for making spaces shine, enjoy a dash of culinary flair, and cherish teamwork, we'd be thrilled to meet you!

Responsibilities:

1. Housekeeping and Cleaning:

- Collaborate with 2-3 part-time housekeepers, making every corner of our home feel special.

- Tackle tasks such as vacuuming, dusting, and caring for items that have their own stories to tell.

- Check linens and household items regularly, ensuring comfort and coziness.

- Ensure our space is always "guest-ready" — a place we're proud to call home.

2. Laundry and Organization:

- Share in laundry adventures, giving TLC to both daily wear and those special occasion outfits.

- Tidy up spaces, find new organization hacks, and ensure our rooms always beckon for a restful break.

- Dress bed with clean linen, turning them into cozy havens at the end of the day.

3. Food Shopping & Preparation:

- Embark on weekly grocery runs, keeping our home stocked with all the good stuff.

- Whip up meals, delighting the family with both nutrition and taste.

- Become the master of the kitchen domain — organizing the pantry and keeping food safety top-notch.

4. Administrative and Personal Assistant Tasks:

- Occasionally jot down a letter, help map out travel itineraries when needed, and keep track of household must-haves.

- Manage the mail, ensure smooth returns, and build strong ties with our vendors.

- Be our go-to for the odd online purchase or the fun task of planning gifts and sending out cards.

- Add your magic touch to small gatherings, turning them into memorable events.

Other duties as assigned to support the organization.

5. Examples of tasks:

- Jazz up spaces with bi-weekly floral arrangements or a new decor idea.

- Quench the thirst of our indoor/outdoor plants, adding life to our rooms.

- Put on the planner hat for occasional personal events, making them the talk of the town.

- Keep our vehicles gleaming and ready to roll.

- Brainstorm and execute thoughtful gifting ideas, ensuring every present is wrapped in love.

- Safeguard a respectful and private atmosphere for everyone.

- Always be ready to sprinkle a bit of joy wherever needed!

Physical Requirements:

- Comfort in light physical tasks, such as bending, lifting, and moving around the house.

- Ability to occasionally lift items, roughly up to 50 lbs.

Requirements:

- Highschool diploma or certification. If you have a history in a similar role is a plus, but we're eager to train someone who's the right fit? Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or nursing degrees a plus.

- Tech-friendly, knowing your way around basic tools and platforms.

- A valid driver’s license and a trusty vehicle.

- Clear background check and legal eligibility to work in the U.S.

- Positive references from past roles.

Compensation and Benefits:

$20.00 to $25.00 / hour, negotiable with experience
