Job Title: Material Team Leader

Objective of the Position: Oversees, monitors and coordinates manufacturing team activities, giving importance to individual members and overall team achievement in achieving policy deployment objectives

Job Description: The position incumbent ensures, that

  • Ensure that all Material Departments associates (Hilo Drivers & Water Spiders) are performing assigned duties and are working collectively to support the production process and the collective group.
  • Establish communication and training from the Material & Customer Planner positions in order to track parts, contact Suppliers, and communicate Customer requirements as needed.
  • Is the “point person” for Production Supervision and Management to ensure communication and performance is maintained.
  • Master and coordinate all aspects of SAP shipping, receiving, cycle counting, and Production support.
  • Train and be efficient in all positions and duties within the Materials group to ensure that cross coverage is maintained.
  • Assist in the production of manufacturing parts when necessary.

Secondary Responsibilities: The position incumbent ensures, that

  • Conduct all business-related activities for, and on the behalf of, Eberspaecher within the limits of applicable local, state, and federal legal requirements.
  • Provide support to, and compliance with, all local and corporate Eberspaecher Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) policies, procedures and other HSE related requirements.
  • Quality - Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and follows all ENA polices related to TS16949 and ISO 14001; looks for way to improve and promote quality.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirement Profile:

Professional Background / Basic Qualification / Work Experience:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Minimum two years’ related experience and/or training in manufacturing setting, preferably in materials.
  • Forklift Certification required.

Technical Expertise:

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos, and write simple correspondence.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement of products for manufacturability.
  • Project Management- Develops project plans; Coordinates projects; Communicates changes and progress; Completes projects on time and budget; Manages project team activities.
  • Strives to continuously improve expertise, knowledge and skills.

About the Job:
The plant runs Monday – Friday, with some overtime on Saturday/Sunday.
