Harrison Gray Searchhas partnered with a growing metal fabricating company that provides custom metal fabrication services to various industries such as automotive, aerospace, medical, and military. They specialize in manufacturing components, sub-assemblies, and complete products using materials such as steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.


Responsibilities:


  • Be the owner of automated A/P platform. Take responsibility for inputting and processing vendor invoices (receive, send for approval, review/post, set up payment).
  • Onboard new vendors and ensure collecting all necessary documentation from them.
  • Use banking platform to submit manual wires and bill payments, as needed.
  • Understand the inventory purchase process and review the purchase order transactions created by Purchasing to ensure their accuracy.
  • Actively work to help improve payment terms with recurring vendors by ensuring pay on-time, and requesting credit terms increases where needed or warranted.
  • Assist with some responsibilities in the month/year-end process. This will include bank and balance sheet reconciliations, as well as submitting journal entries for the CFO to review.
  • Some administrative tasks including filing, organizing, etc.
  • Other ad hoc tasks as requested.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of accounting experience in manufacturing.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Administrative, organizational, planning, and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to work independently and with team members.
  • Time management skills to organize daily planning and monthly activities and meet deadlines.
  • Customer service skills to interact effectively with employees and outside vendors.
  • Shift priorities quickly without losing attention to detail.
  • Systems-oriented you like technology and want to use it to do things more efficiently.
  • Comfortable working in a small office environment
  • Detail-oriented, process-oriented, and independently-responsible. Not only do you learn quickly, but you can work effectively without close supervision. You understand how to prioritize what needs to be done immediately and recognize what can wait.
