The Long Term Care Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Whispering Heights provides medical and physical care to the residents of the household to meet their daily needs and enable them to function at the highest possible level. While this care is provided under the leadership of a professional nurse, the LPN is the residents’ closest advocate in the household. The LTC Licensed Practical Nurses is responsible for supervising resident care consistent with the Iowa Nursing Practice Code, Federal, State and Hegg Health Center rules and standards of care while promoting each resident’s highest practicable physical, mental and psychosocial well-being.
