Imko’s Client is hiring a Full Time Automotive Mechanic (Service Technician) for an auto repair shop in the Sioux City area. A valid driver’s license is required. Mechanic (Service Technician) will diagnose and repair cars and light trucks. In this line of work, Mechanic (Service Technician) will inspect vehicles, perform routine service and keep records of work done. Day-to-day duties expected of Mechanic (Service Technician) include the analysis of cars to determine what is wrong in unique circumstances, the use of testing equipment following repairs to ensure that automobiles are safe to drive.
***MUST HAVE OWN TOOLS
Mechanic (Service Technician) Responsibilities are, however, will not be limited to:
  1. Rebuild, replace, or repair vehicle parts such as engines, brakes, transmission lines, electrical assemblies, and accessories.
  2. Use diagnostic equipment to evaluate mechanical problems in vehicles.
  3. Always follow safety procedures to avoid accidental injuries and damage to automobiles.
  4. Keep shop, equipment, and tools in safe operating condition.
  5. Performs tune ups, brake jobs, and other preventative maintenance on cars, trucks, buses, and other powered rolling equipment; replaces common parts and makes adjustments.
  6. Perform other duties as assigned by management.
