CNC Lead

We are seeking a 2nd Shift CNC Lead that can step into a leadership role and guide production standards. The right candidate will be able to work with current machinist staff to help address issues and train staff when needed. We are growing and one of the leading production centers in northeast Ohio with the capability of manufacturing precision components and assemblies using CNC turning, milling, multi-axis mill turning and other processes. We meet the needs of our worldwide customers and the demands of the ever-changing manufacturing industry.

The 2nd Shift Lead will work with the 1st Shift Production and Assembly Supervisors on achieving productions goals and troubleshooting any areas of concern in addition to the following:

• Analyzes work orders and blueprints to determine information such as material to be used, type of operations, and sequence of operations required
• Examines defective machinery to determine cause of malfunction and reports need for machine repairs
• Ability to set up and operate machines to make test runs and experimental products is highly desired
• Inspects work in progress and finished products
• Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations
• Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules
• Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
• Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew
• Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems
• Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals
• Maintains time and production records
• Create a safe work place and reduce lost time accidents
• Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments
• Excellent communication skills

Desired Experience:

• Lead Machinist: 3-5 years
• Machining experience: 5+ years
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

• Overtime available as schedule demands
• Able to commute to this job's location in Newbury, Ohio
