Pet Groomer

Wilson Veterinary Hospital is seeking a dynamic Professional Pet Groomer/ Pet Stylist who has the ability to work both independently and as a team. The ideal candidate should have at least 1 year of experience in the grooming industry and should possess a high standard for cleanliness in the workspace.

Responsibilities:

The Professional Groomer will be responsible for delivering high-quality grooming services to clients. The duties include but are not limited to grooming and bathing dogs and cats, utilizing grooming instruments such as shears and dryers, and performing grooming services per client instructions. The successful applicant should have the ability to calm and work with nervous dogs to promote a positive experience and should have a positive attitude towards all pets and their owners.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate should possess the following skills:

- At least 1 year of experience in the grooming industry
- Direct customer service experience to establish a trusting bond with clients and to handle potentially difficult situations with tact and diplomacy
- Skilled in other areas including nail trims, ear cleaning, and anal gland expressing
- Ability to receive feedback from clients
- The position requires bending, kneeling, lifting (up to 50 pounds, as necessary), and standing for long periods of time
