Responsibilities:

  • Role model and live the Company’s Values and Behaviors. Know the Company’s Vision, Mission, and Objectives and continually communicate and reinforce these to team members.
  • Serve as a key member of the executive team who sets the company’s strategic direction.
  • Advocate for and provide practical leadership in integrating established ethical business practices throughout the company.
  • Lead the implementation of the company sales and marketing strategy (positioning, policies, process, pace, productivity) for the entire sales and marketing function of the organization.
    1. Develop, prepare, and maintain monthly sales and marketing performance reports, including but not limited to, lead generation, lead conversion, community traffic, community sales pace, sales cycle time, sales conversion, buyer type, sales by product, and margin.
    2. Direct and operate strategic sales and marketing efforts for all divisions. Communicate with various departments to improve product and company image. Measure performance and support business decisions related to land acquisitions, market analytics and growth strategy.
    3. Review, refine and execute customer experience and consumer journey mapping.
  • Create a comprehensive plan and lead the implementation and analysis of an online sales program, including target sales goals, timelines, and budget considerations in alignment with the company’s sales and marketing strategies.
  • Develop sales and marketing tools to help with lead and traffic generation, sales engagement and conversion, and productivity improvement. Strong focus on branding, product development, internet sales and strategic market research efforts for divisions in multiple states and markets.
    1. Create MLS programs that are cost-effective and efficient for increasing sales while keeping personal sales in line with goals.
    2. Engage Call-Rail, call-tracking plan to measure marketing performance by division, community, and marketing tactic.
    3. Continually refine Eliant reporting with feedback from all division leaders to ensure the platform is working to increase customer satisfaction scores.
    4. Utilize and measure CRM for internet sales and onsite sales conversion reporting and management.
  • Create and measure a Social Media program divided into two key areas: Brand Awareness and Social Proofing.
  • Review and refine the training curriculum for all sales and marketing team members (new hires and current)
    1. View Homes overall (history, vision/mission, strategy)
    2. Selling skills/techniques
    3. Community/division specific sales training (product, pricing strategies)
    4. Sales management
    5. Reinforcement of CSX (Customer Service Experience) principles
  • Foster a collaborative environment with sales and marketing leaders by creating channels to share best practices, identify areas for improvement, and recruiting strategies.
  • Develop and implement competitive market assessment tools to ensure communities are competitive from a product, pricing, feature, and incentive perspective.
    1. Stay current on industry trends by monitoring key economic indicators, tracking competitive activity and strategy, reading industry periodicals, talking with consultants, and staying involved with industry associations and events.
    2. Ongoing and frequent travel to communities and Division offices to assist with troubled communities, new community launches, recruitment, etc.
    3. Mentor and develop divisional sales and marketing leaders in managing sales performance, overcoming performance issues.
    4. Work closely with all divisions and our architectural firm and the product development teams to identify new product need, new community product needs, floorplans, and products to retire – keeping in mind new coast-to-coast product trends, efficiency in building, value to the customer, and revenue.
    5. Ensure consistent brand presentation and customer experience through our sales center design, layout, and presentations for use across the company.
    6. Conduct periodic audits of customer facing content (e.g., community website, floorplans, community appearance) to ensure accuracy and effectiveness.
  • Maintain all external relationships consistent with the objectives, operating philosophy, and desired image of the company, re: customer relations, public relations, vendor relations, and community relations.
    1. Develop national Realtor engagement programs – fostering strong, nationwide relationships (market and industry specific conditions apply).
    2. Oversee corporate identity (community naming, logo design, ads, collateral, creative materials, plus media communications, web design and PR).
    3. Monitor division Realtor-partner selection, co-op flat fee or percentage and routinely monitors performance and compliance with MLS guidelines.
    4. Oversee outside agencies, maintain branding, create messaging, digital marketing campaigns, national sales events, national social media marketing, e-marketing, e-commerce, internal and external communications, website design, development and performance optimization and mobile platform, SEM, SEO, SMS, internet sales standards and best practices.
  • Review, refine and maintain a Homeowner Manual for website and booklet for homebuyers (English & Spanish).
  • Review, refine and enforce Community Appearance Guidelines to each division to ensure a best-in-class experience for our guests.
  • Maintain confidentiality on all corporate subjects so classified.
  • Able and willing to travel extensively, as needed.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, general business, real estate, or equivalent work experience in a related field required.

Experience:

  • Minimum 10+ years in homebuilding industry with marketing and sales concentration.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing successful online sales programs, preferably in a similar industry.
  • Strong understanding of e-commerce platforms, digital marketing strategies, and online sales techniques.
    Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make strategic decisions.
  • Effective leadership and team management abilities, with a track record of achieving results through collaboration.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of current trends and best practices with a multi-state homebuilding company.
  • Proficiency in using analytical tools and software to track and measure program performance.
