The City of Minot is accepting applications for the entry level position of Light Equipment Operator in the Street Department, with an application deadline of Friday, April 19th 2024 at 4:00 PM.
+ Nature of WorkThis is work involving the skilled operation of light motorized equipment and manual laboring activities. Operates a variety of motorized equipment and vehicles including various trucks, front-end loaders, riding mowers, small and full-size tractors, backhoe, sweepers, small dozer, and other related vehicles and equipment. Operates a variety of hand and power tools as part of construction or maintenance on work assignments. Please read the attached job description for complete details.
+ Education, Experience, Other Requirements
Completion of high school and two years of experience in the operation of construction and maintenance equipment, or any equivalent combination of training and experience.
Possession of a valid North Dakota commercial driver's license is highly preferred, with appropriate endorsements for equipment used. Applicants without the appropriate current commercial license will be reviewed based on previous work experience and education. Ability to obtain a valid North Dakota commercial driver’s license and proper endorsements within six months of employment is required.
Ability to be in on-call status or to serve on a 24-hour standby for work emergencies.
+ Compensation and Benefits
The assigned salary range for Light Equipment Operator under the 2024 City of Minot Annual Pay Plan is Grade 46, with an annual base salary range of $39,493- $58,627, with a starting hourly wage of $18.99 per hour.
This is a full time, FLSA non-exempt position eligible for overtime.
