Mount Carmel Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, in Manchester, NH is seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Activities Aide to join our team. As a Activities Assistant, you will be responsible for providing engaging and meaningful activities for our residents. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with seniors and a desire to enhance their quality of life. This is a Full time position - work every other weekend.


Join our excellent team of professionals to assist in enriching the lives of the people we serve, through activities and hobbies that they enjoy. Assist in activities, that are, social, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual. These programs are in accordance with long-term care residents' assessment and care plan. Mount Carmel Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, in Manchester, NH is a 120-bed facility offering short and long-term care in a warm and supportive atmosphere where residents are cared for according to their individual needs. Job Responsibilities;


- Plan, organize and implement daily activities for residents

- Develop and maintain relationships with residents and their families

- Create and distribute monthly activity calendars

- Set up and clean up activity areas

- Ensure all equipment and supplies are available for activities

- Provide one-on-one interaction with residents who require special attention

- Encourage participation in activities and events

- Participate in care plan meetings

- Maintain accurate and complete records of resident participation in activities


Requirements:


  • High school diploma or equivalent- Experience working with seniors or in a long-term care setting preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Compassionate and patient demeanor
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
