Registered Nurse - Pharmacy Dept

Full-time

Monday - Friday

Will consider 5, 8 hour days or 4, 10 hour days

This position is responsible for distribution of pharmaceuticals and select biologicals to all patients and ancillary departments, in accordance with the hospital’s established policies and procedures. Duties include assures the ordered pharmaceuticals are available for patient administration, assures that ancillary departments have the necessary pharmaceuticals required for patient care, assures expired medications are unavailable for patient use and assures all medication orders are verified by a Pharmacist in a timely manner. Provides patient education. Maintains a current and accurate formulary in response to needs of the patient population.

Maintains confidentiality of all patient information. Maintains a “customer friendly” environment by treating all individuals with dignity, respect and concern for their well-being.

Requirements

• Must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred.
• Must have a current Registered Nurse License issued by the Kansas State Board of Nursing.
• Must have BLS Certification. ACLS certification preferred.
• Experience or training in pharmaceuticals preferred.
