Breakfast Host - Hostess

We’re looking to hire an energetic and outgoing breakfast host/hostess with outstanding customer service skills. You’ll need excellent communication skills to answer phone inquiries and make reservations. Your main duties include welcoming guests and guiding them to a table that has been cleared and cleaned. You’ll ensure that there are enough seats for the entire party and check that each guest has tableware. Your attire should be professional and neat, with comfortable shoes so you can stand on your feet frequently throughout your shift. $17 hourly DOE

• Greet guests warmly as they enter to create a positive first impression of the restaurant
• Clean up and clear plates after guests leave, and get the table ready for the next customers
• Guide diners to their seats and make sure everyone has the correct number of menus, utensils, napkins, and filled water glasses
• Respond to questions about the menu and memorize the daily specials whenever needed
• Monitor the dining room for tidiness, ensure all tables and chairs are organized, and that condiments are restocked when needed

• Some restaurant, hospitality, and/or food services industry experience is preferred
• For this position, a high school diploma or the equivalent GED is needed, as well as a good understanding of how to speak and read English
• Thrive in a fast-moving environment while working in a team situation with extended hours of standing to be expected
• Must have excellent communication, customer service, and organization skills, as well as the ability to deal with customer requests in a courteous, efficient, and timely manner
