Summary:

The Shipping and Receiving Associate may be asked to do several different jobs within the warehouse including unloading and loading trucks, picking or pulling items to be shipped to various store locations, and shipping items from warehouse store locations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Receives and unloads items received, verifies product against invoices and printout; prepares discrepancy report as needed.
  • Stages and stocks incoming material.
  • Pulls and prepares product for shipment.
  • Maintains a safe, secure and clean workspace at all times.
  • Assembles and sets up merchandise displays and promotional items.
  • Performs general housekeeping duties, which involves organizing the warehouse, and general cleaning.
  • Responsible for checking in and shipping out U.P.S. and freight shipments.
  • Utilizes various warehouse tools such as RF guns in the performance of duties; wears protective clothing, and operates a forklift as need.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to apply understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
  • The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Regularly lifts up to 50lbs
  • Forklift experience/certification is a plus
  • Mathematical Skills - Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, and knowledge of weights and measures.
  • Forklift Certification is a plus
