Inventory Control with Forklift Operator Experience - Immediate opening in Sealy, Tx.
Temp to Hire
1st shift
Pay: $16/hr.
PRIMARY FUNCTION: This position is responsible for performing functions to assist in the planning, coordination control and direct activities involving materials inventory, release and requisitioning of production materials.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintains and monitors inventory effectively and efficiently.
- Receive, issue and document raw materials along with transfers of work in process and finished goods,
in QAD. - Review, reconcile and document work order inventory transactions.
- Prepare and document shipments of materials, products and supplies, and monitor for shortages,
overages, damages, and record discrepancies. - Maintains effective and efficient organization of materials storage yard.
- Verify and document inventory counts and locations periodically including but not limited to cycle
counts. - Move, transfer, relocate materials, products and/or supplies using forklift (certified operators only)
- Follow company policies and procedures.
- Support and/or participate in the organization’s Continuous Improvement Programs.
- Proactively participates in the Safety Program.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
- Proficient in MS Office
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Must be detail oriented.
- Must be able to operator a forklift.
- Team oriented and the ability to operate with a diverse group
Education/Experience
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Forklift trained and experienced, a plus.
- Experience with ERP systems.
