Reporting to: Quality Control Supervisor

The Quality Control Trainer Technician is accountable for overseeing new-hire Training, instructional design, and team member upskilling. The primary objective is to ensure the effective continuous skill development and sustained quality performance of our Operations employees. This role requires a dynamic individual with a proven track record in training and instructional design, team leadership, and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards in customer interactions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a schedule and create training programs to assess training needs.
  • Create training materials and operating manuals to implement and reinforce new and existing quality assurance standards.
  • Evaluate, coach, and mentor new hire employees to achieve optimum performance.
  • Address and discuss issues related to workflow, production, employee performance, and propose solutions with superiors.
  • Document quality assurance activities and create audit reports.
  • maintain and manage lab instruments. Working with manufacture the troubleshoot any ongoing issues with instruments.
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading technical publications, attending seminars, watching industry videos, etc.
  • Observe all safety rules and promote a safe working environment with team members.
  • Maintain strict GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).
  • Compliance with all rules & policies regarding health safety, occupational safety, environmental safety, food safety, legal regulations, company requirements, etc.
  • Compliance with the Company's Integrated Management Systems which includes, but is not limited to Production, Quality, Food Safety & GMP.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Profile

  • University degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or related field is required.
  • 1 + years of experience in a leadership or trainer position preferably in a food and beverage manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Experience in low acid beverage production is an asset.
  • Familiar with operating various testing and lab equipment and ability to train others.
  • Sound knowledge/awareness of current QA principles and practices, statistics, sensory evaluation, GMP & HACCP.
  • Good analytical skills to enable identification and resolution or problems.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel), and instructional software.
  • Strong leadership and people skills to effectively train, mentor, and lead staff.
  • Skill in organization, analysis, time management, prioritization, and the ability to meet deadlines for multiple tasks.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and quality of support and service.
  • Excellent leadership, team building, and management skills to effectively lead and mentor new staff and junior employees.
