Cashier

Overview:

As a cashier, you will serve as the first point of contact for our customers. You will provide friendly and efficient service while handling transactions accurately. Your welcoming demeanor and attention to detail will contribute to creating a positive atomosphere for our patrons.

Responsibilities:

1. Greet customers with a warm and friendly demeanor as they enter the bakery.
2. Assist customers in selecting their desired items from our menu.
3. Operate cash registers and POS systems to process transactions.
4. Handle cash, credit/debit cards, and other forms of payment securly and in accordance with company policies.
5. Calculate and issue change accurately, ensuring correct amounts are returned to customers.
6. Manitain clenliness and organization at the cashier station, including keeping countrers and display aread tidy.
7. Answer customer inquiries regarding menu items, pricing, and special promotions.
8. Collaborate with kitchen and other staff members to fulfill customer orders in a timely manner.
9. Follow proper food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe and hygenic environment.

Requirements:

1. Previous experience in customer service or cash handling preferred.
2. Excellent communication skills.
3. Ability to work in a fast paced environemnt while maintaining composure and professionalism.
4. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling transactions.
5. Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings and weekends.
6. High school dimploma or equivalent required.
