DIRECTOR OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

(SR. TERRITORY SALES MANAGER)

EASTERN REGIONAL TERRITORY

HealthTronics is looking for an experienced Territory Sales Manager who is ready to develop their career as a Director of Business Development for our Eastern territory. You will be responsible for bringing innovative ideas to the table to form new physician-based ventures and partnerships. Your industry focus will be in stone management, including WSWL, laser and office-based stone centers. You will work with the Business Operations and Clinical Operations teams to reach target metrics.

This role requires up to 50% travel to support the following territories:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Develops and maintains physician customer relationships and identifies potential business partners.
  • Responsible for developing new organic strategic initiatives, assessing new markets, and analyzing business opportunities.
  • Conducts research on potential acquisition targets utilizing physician and customer relationships, current market knowledge and other available resources.
  • Coordinates the negotiation of strategic arrangements and partnerships and the closing of deals.
  • Engages with physicians to increase physician involvement with current business as well as new business.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • 2+ years of experience in medical device, business development, or pharmaceutical sales. Urology experience is a plus.
  • Ability to understand and analyze financial models.
  • Superior communication skills: ability to interact successfully at all levels with peers, physicians, executives, customers, and staff.
  • Self-starter with excellent time management skills.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • May require considerable standing, walking, and driving.
  • Occasional walking, standing, bending, and reaching when filing, photocopying, etc.
  • Light lifting of up to 25 pounds on an infrequent basis.
  • Extensive travel throughout the assigned region, with occasional weekend obligations.
  • Availability to attend meetings and other functions outside of normal business areas.
  • Many overnight stays, flexibility in schedule is a must.
  • While in a clinical environment there may be a risk to occupational electrical and radiation exposure.
