Functions (Scope and Main Purpose of Job):

The Inventory Control Clerk is responsible for ensuring items are received, issued and delivered accurately to all departments. Responsible for receiving, inputting and updating current records for all items purchased by Saracen Casino Resort. Auditing all requisition forms for accuracy and perform other administrative duties related to food, beverage and general supplies inventory. All functions are to be performed within the guidelines of the Saracen Casino Resort’s policies and procedures, Internal Control Standards and objectives.

Specific responsibilites and duties

  • Input of daily receipts and issues of all items into the purchasing and inventory software.
  • Attention to details: Follow detailed procedures and ensure accuracy in documentation and data; concentrate on routine work details. Organize and maintain a system of records.
  • Communication: Able to clearly present information through spoken or written word.
  • Quality: able to maintain high standard despite pressing deadlines; do work right the first times and inspect for flaws.

  • Performs the function of receiving, inputting and updating current records for all items and services delivered to Saracen Casino.
  • Process and input receipt, invoices and paperwork which is then forwarded to accounts payable for further process.
  • Maintain areas of MMS such as stock control, location and perform research of discrepancies on receipt or requisition.
  • Assists in conducting inventories as required-month end and /or cycle counts.
  • Follow established policies and procedures for the inspection of incoming materials against order and specification for correctness and defects and arrange for return of defective material.
  • Follow established policies and procedures for the requisition of materials from the warehouse to user departments.
  • Ability to transport materials from warehouse to user departments.
  • Insure that the warehouse facilities are kept clean, safe and orderly at all times.
  • Provides exceptional customer service and communicates in a pleasant, friendly and professional manner at all times. Maintains a professional work environment with supervisors and staff.
  • Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies.
  • Attend all necessary training meetings.
  • Assist in other projects, as directed
  • Duties, responsibilities, requirements and expectations pertaining to this job are subject to change as needed. Hours are determined by 24-hour schedule.

  • Verifying the accuracy of receipts, transfers and requisitions.
  • Verifying products entering/leaving warehouse.
  • Assisting with monthly inventories and daily cycle counts.
  • Maintaining accuracy of item set up in the inventory system.
  • Assisting with updating new numbers for outlet inventory
  • Ensure the safety and security of company information.

JOB REQUIREMENTS (Skills, Knowledge, and abilities)

  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age or older upon employment.
  • Highschool diploma or its equivalency preferred.
  • Previous customer service experienced preferred
  • Previous experience in warehouse
  • Experience with computers is required.
  • Ability to read and follow routine instructions.
  • Ability to operate basic office equipment such as copier, fax, and 10 key adding machine.
  • Must possess excellent communication skills.
  • Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the customers and employees.
  • Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
  • Must be able to get approved for and maintain a valid gaming license.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
  • Applicants must be able to substantiate a safe driving record within the parameters acceptable to our liability insurance carrier.
  • Must have a valid drivers license.
  • Operates pallet jack and various materials handling equipment.
  • Work nights, weekends and holidays as required.
  • Ability to perform assigned duties under frequent time pressure in an interruptive environment.
  • Strong math, analytical, counting skills and clerical aptitude
  • Basic PPC knowledge with focus on data entry.
  • Good oral and written communication skills with the ability to interface with various departments.
  • Employment is contingent upon a favorable outcome of a background investigation and drug screening.

  • 24/7 high energy casino with over 300.000 sq. ft of gaming and entertainment space and approximately 800 employees.
  • Must be able to work at a computer terminal throughout the assigned shift and sit for long periods of time.
  • Able to process a great deal of paperwork.
  • Able to take phone calls regarding departmental questions.
  • Physical stamina to keep up with a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to respond calmly to stressful situations.
  • Must be physically mobile with reasonable accommodations and be able to maneuver to all areas of the casino.
  • Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondary cigarette and cigar smoke, high noise levels, bright lights and dust and will be exposed to alcohol.
  • Must be able to tolerate cold temperatures when entering warehouse coolers and freezers
  • Must have the physical ability to work with extreme weather as well as the ability to lift 40lbs. to squat, stand or bend repeatedly.
  • Maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure in a fast paced, casino environment and effectively deal with customers, management, employees, and members of the business community in all situations.
