IT - Internship, Security

THIS POSITION WILL BE PART TIME AND YEAR-ROUND - Candidate must have the ability to work approximately 15- 20 hours a week Monday -- Friday.

Responsibilities:

• Learn and understand internal IT controls, the design and operational effectiveness, determine exposure to risk and learn remediation strategies
• Assist with organizational Cybersecurity Training and Awareness Programs
• Provide backup support for access management in business applications
• Participate in Office 365 operational security controls
• Participate in 3rd party vulnerability management remediation
• Assist with requests from internal and external auditors
• Assist with the change management process to ensure effectiveness
• Assist with documenting IT Security governance and risk posture
• Assist with IT Security policy and procedures documentation, review, and updates
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Currently pursuing a BS or BBA Information Systems or a related field. Prefer students that have completed their Sophomore year. Any relevant work experience is a plus.

Preferred Skills: Documentation, analytical and problem solving, interpersonal and communication, working as an individual contributor in a team environment, ability to multi-task and work effectively in a distributed environment; attention to detail and ability to consistently follow detailed procedures; work with confidential/personal information in a professional and secure manner.
