Occupational Therapist (OT) Position Available

Position Overview: We are looking for dedicated Occupational Therapists to join our team and make a positive impact on the lives of students in the Napoleonville community. This full-time role offers the opportunity to work collaboratively with educators and support staff to enhance students' abilities to participate in daily activities and achieve their educational goals.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments to determine students' needs for occupational therapy services.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and goals tailored to each student's unique needs and abilities.
• Provide direct occupational therapy services to students, either individually or in group settings, to improve fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care abilities, and other areas as needed.
• Monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure continued improvement.
• Collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and other members of the educational team to support student success.
• Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and other team meetings to discuss student progress and plan interventions.
• Stay informed about best practices in occupational therapy and participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current license to practice as an Occupational Therapist in Louisiana.
• Certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
• Compliance with all local and state requirements for employment in educational settings.
• Previous experience working with pediatric populations preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
