Key Accountability

1)     Be a Resident Relations Roadster by meeting resident transportation needs and assisting in safe and timely arrival to appointments.

2)     Be a Maintenance Maven by assisting with maintenance duties and safety needs throughout the community.

3)     Be a Service Superstar by providing first class customer service to community residents in a safe and professional manner.

 

Duties

This position description is designated to outline primary duties, qualifications, and job scope, but not limit the individual or the organization to just the work identified. It is our expectation that each employee will offer his/her services wherever and whenever necessary to ensure the success of our endeavors.

  •   Present a professional demeanor that communicates a corporate philosophy of service, goodwill, and genuine interest in each resident’s needs.
  •   Safely transport residents to and from destinations.
  •   Maintain vehicle: clean interior and exterior and ensure it is fully operational.
  •   Assist residents in and out of vehicle from destination to destination.
  •   Prepare in advance for all trips and residents, such as printing out directions, etc.
  •   Assist Resident Services and Plant Operations department between driving duties and runs.
  •   Assist in the inspection of building interior, exterior grounds and outside equipment.
  •   Assist in the maintenance of all areas of the Community and grounds including but not limited to the building, grounds, fences, parking areas, ditches, furniture, appliances, heating and air conditioning, and lift stations.
  •   Fulfill all work order requests per company guidelines and in a timely fashion.
  •   Assist in ensuring the safety of building for all residents, staff, and guests.
  •   Familiarize yourself with residents of the Community.
  •   Observe residents’ ability to perform daily ADLs and social skills, communicate potential difficulties or opportunities to the appropriate team member.
  •   When called upon, participate in care planning and other meetings, formal and informal.
  •   Encourage and motivate residents in all areas, providing assistance when necessary.
  •   Plan daily schedule to maximize interaction with residents.
  •   Participate in all training offered by employer.
  •   Perform all other duties as assigned.

 

Requirements

  •   Be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  •   Possess and maintain the specific state-required chauffeur class license.
  •   Must have a clean driving record as per the insurance carrier’s policy.
  •   Must be First Aid Certified
  •   Must be criminally cleared and fidelity bondable.
  •   Be in good health, and physically and mentally capable of performing assigned tasks, including
    • Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
    • Frequent computer keyboard use
    • Frequent standing, walking, twisting, bending, extending and reaching for periods up to eight (8) hours.
    • Good physical health shall be verified by a health screening performed by a physician not more than six (6) months prior to or seven (7) days after employment.
  •   Experience in senior housing is preferred.
  •   Has demonstrated skills, knowledge and competency in the areas of leadership and supervision, including time management and organization, as well as the ability to represent and promote activities and programs.
  •   Proficient written and oral communication skills required.
  •   Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

 

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate in person and through written correspondence and navigate visually. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day. This position also requires employee to be able to retrieve items from storage, including overhead bins or cabinets. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds and must push/pull a wheeled maintenance cart. The use of a ladder is required. The job functions are primarily indoors, but employee may be required to work outside for events or to assist Plant Operations in outdoor maintenance.
