Overview

**SIGN ON BONUS**

The Tool and Die Maker is responsible for the setup and operating CNC mills and lathes including multi-axis equipment, mill turns, wire EDM, grinders and/or other machining equipment. They should know how to manufacture, grind, and maintain precision. They should be comfortable with, or can become comfortable with, form grinding, polishing, and milling. The tool and die maker will be able to determine necessary machine operations and set-up and operates machine tools such a lathe, milling machine, grinder to machine parts and verifies conformance of machined parts to specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzes technical data which includes sheet metal forming and tool die design.
  • Builds dies and other tooling from blueprint to job approval
  • Troubleshoots stamping tools and makes necessary adjustments and repairs.
  • Performs all work necessary to assure that part produced will pass first piece inspection.
  • Performs preventative maintenance according to procedure.
  • Experience building, maintaining and troubleshooting progressive tools
  • Ability to set up and operate machine tools in power press
  • Experience working with close tolerances
  • Qualified applicants will be able to run tool room equipment, grinding, milling, heat treating, and lathes.


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications and Education Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • The ability to work well with others in a team building environment.
  • CAD CAM programming (Esprit software)
  • The ability to lift 50 pounds or more.
  • 3-5 years' Experience in tool and die making
  • Skilled in the use of Tool Room equipment
  • General knowledge of tool and die design including various tools steels/carbides
  • The ability to pass a pre-employment background and drug screen

Salary Range: $26.00 to $28.00 per hour.
