Penmac Staffing is recruiting a 1st shift shipping clerk for a local manufacturer located in Springfield, MO. This position will be based in an office environment within the warehouse side of the business and will report directly to the Warehouse Manager. This is a temp to hire opportunity.
Shipping Clerk Position
Responsibilities:
- Verify all Domestic and Export orders for accuracy and completeness.
- Perform daily timecard entry for Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Update daily sales and demand files to ensure accurate records.
- Conduct TVA checks and ensure smooth system flows.
- Act as a backup manifester on the shop floor when needed.
- Set up full truckloads efficiently and effectively.
- Maintain regular communication with trucklines to coordinate shipments.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements:
- Attention to detail is paramount in this role to ensure accuracy in order verification and documentation.
- Possess basic problem-solving skills to address any issues that may arise during the shipping process.
- Basic computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Strong oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with team members and external partners.
- Previous experience in a shipping or logistics role is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Hours: 8:00am to 4:30pm (training from 7:00am to 3:30pm), Monday/Friday with occasional overtime as needed.
Pay: $18.00 per hour
Length of assignment: Temp to hire
