Controller / Accounting Manager

Seeking Controller / Accounting Manager to become integral part of our team.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:

• 5+ years progressive experience in a manufacturing environment.
• ERP experience
• 3+ years of general ledger accounting experience.
• Proven experience in driving process improvements and ability to work with all levels of management.
• Degree in Accounting or related field.
• CPA or CMA Preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reviewing plan expenses and responsible for closing the month.

Preparation of monthly reporting package (P&L and KPI's) including commentary.

Analyzing manufacturing variations and provide creative alternative and recommendations to reduce costs and improve financial situation.

• Provides analysis of manufacturing and purchase price variances and
• Provides timely communication to management of critical issues and opportunities surrounding fabrication and procurement of the division's products.

Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.

Plans, organizes and directs all the activities of the cost accounting function and works closely with various functional operating personnel in the manufacturing, procurement, engineering and quality/regulatory.

Performs the monthly /quarterly closing activities including but not limited to valuation of all costs of sales, inventory, inventory reserves, (e.g. E&O, and physical count reserves). Compiles monthly financial statements.

Assists CEO in the completion of the annual budget and with the various forecasts that are required by local management and by corporate. Compiles cost data for use in developing operational budgets and forecasts.

Ensures that sufficient internal controls and procedures are implemented to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Identifies cost savings opportunities related to material, labor and overhead costs and works with the appropriate functional management to implement the savings.

Assists in the coordination and reconciliation of the annual physical inventory or inventory cycle count program.
