Food Service Equipment is seeking a skilled Refrigeration Technician to join our team. As a Refrigeration Technician, you will be responsible for servicing and repairing commercial refrigeration and cooking equipment primarily in restaurants and grocery stores. This position offers a competitive wage and benefits package.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose issues with commercial refrigeration and cooking equipment in restaurants and grocery stores.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on refrigeration systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Repair or replace defective components, such as compressors, condensers, and evaporators.
- Install new refrigeration systems according to manufacturer specifications.
- Test refrigeration systems for leaks and ensure proper functioning.
- Respond promptly to service calls and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions.
- Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed.
- Filling out work orders at the end of the job
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures at all times.
- Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with clients and team members.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Refrigeration Technician or similar role, preferably in a commercial setting.
- Knowledge of refrigeration systems, including but not limited to compressors, condensers, evaporators, and refrigerant types.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair complex refrigeration and cooking equipment.
- Familiarity with electrical and mechanical systems.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- EPA License Type 1, 2, 3, or universal
- Ability to work an on-call schedule

- 8 Hour shift M-F with potential for overtime
- On call Rotation weekend shifts (overtime paid )
