Production Planner

PRODUCTION PLANNER

ECR International, Inc. has been a leading manufacturer providing heating and cooling products for almost 100 years under family of brand names including Utica Boilers, Dunkirk, Olsen, Pennco, Argo and EMI. ECR is a part of Granby Industries LP, a division of TerraVest Industries Inc., of Canada.

ECR International Inc. Is headquartered in Utica, NY and is seeking a Production Planner that will be located out of our Dunkirk, NY Manufacturing Facility.

Responsibilities :

· Supervise the Daily production planner.

· Organize and manage the weekly planning meetings.

· Organize and manage the monthly Strategic planning meetings.

· Analyse the daily and weekly production results and provide feedback to the production manager and other production stakeholders:

o Create ways to share production results throughout the organization through Excel or Syteline reports or other relevant ways.

o Organize a weekly meeting with the Director of Manufacturing to discuss potential changes to the production plan.

· Analyse the weekly inventory data and provide feedback to the Director of Manufacturing, the Warehouse Manager, the Financial Director and other inventory stakeholders:

o Create ways to share inventory data throughout the organization through Excel or Syteline reports or other relevant ways.

o Organize a weekly meeting with the Warehouse Manager to discuss potential changes to the warehouse and min-max inventory plan.

o Manage the min-max system of finished goods in relation to the production level changer throughout the calendar year.

· Analyse and manage the Annual production Plan and provide feedback on a bi-weekly basis to the COO. Make changes to the plan as required.

· Participate in the monthly Leadership Team meetings to provide inventory and production plan feedback.

· Assist the Senior Buyer when changes in the MPS are required. Assist the other purchasers as required.

· From time to time, participate in meetings with ECR COO and Terravest HVAC division President.

· Participate with the Engineering Director and other engineering personnel in the ongoing effort to rationalize the product offering.

· Assist when needed the inventory control team.

· Any other tasks needed from the COO or the Director of Manufactruing.

QUALIFICATIONS

· Any experience in production planning will be considered:

o 5 years experience in production planning.

OR

o 2 years experience in production planning with any degree related to manufacturing.

OR

o An industrial or mechanical engineering degree.

REQUIREMENTS

· Intermediate level in Excel

o Advanced level will be a definite plus.

o Excel (Visual basic) programming will also be an ultimate plus.

o Please note that the Excel Planning System used at ECR is Excel based. The intermediate Excel level is an absolute must and will be verified during the interview process.

IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR

· The chosen candidate will work under the Director of Manufactruing and will also have daily dealings with the COO. The candidate will also have dotted line relation with Terravest HVAC division VP of Supply Chain.
