Facilities Custodian

We are seeking an experienced Facility Custodian. This person needs to be a self-starter who can manage themselves and complete assigned work without little to no supervision. The primary purpose of this position is to help with the maintenance and cleaning of the manufacturing facility, remove the trash, operate industrial floor cleaners and power washers, and break down pallets and boxes. Will also be required to clean office space, breakrooms, lunchroom areas and restrooms. Must meet the job's physical demands by lifting 50+ lbs as needed. Will be on feet and walking throughout the manufacturing facility for the 8-to-10-hour shifts. Bilingual Spanish is a BIG plus. Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Shift: Can be flexible 6:00 am to 3:00 pm or 7:00 am to 4:00 pm Monday - Friday

Pay Rate: $18.00 to $25.00 Depending on experience

Responsibilities:

• Good communication skills
• Knowledge of various cleaning products and when to use them
• Maintain cleaning inventory, placing orders for new products when needed
• Maintain outdoor grounds, picking up trash around the parking lot.
• Remove debris and snow from sidewalks
• Replace air filters and maintain HVAC systems
• Clean the interior of buildings including floors, carpet, rugs, windows and walls
• Disinfect commonly used items like desks, door handles, office tools and phones
• Maintain cleaning inventory, placing orders for new products when needed
• Empty trash and recycling bins
• Vacuum, sweep and mop floors
• Clean and maintain restrooms
• Washing and clean windows and mirrors
• Notify supervisors of unsafe conditions
• Operate floor scrubbers and other equipment
• Dust furniture and fixtures

Qualifications:

• Proven working experience as a Janitor
• Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
• Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets
• Integrity and ability to work independently
