Position Summary

Assists the Head Golf Professional and Merchandiser with the retail operations of the Club's golf shop. This includes assistance in the following areas: selection, buying, receiving, displaying, selling, of high-end golf equipment, clothing and merchandise while providing the members of Eagle Springs Golf Club with excellent personal shopping service, attention to details, and timely follow-through.


General Duties and Responsibilities

Daily responsibility of presenting a first-class, clean, attractively displayed retail golf shop, including the displaying, and selling of golf related merchandise that is commensurate with the membership of Eagle Springs Golf Club.

Assists in maintaining of pre-determined stock levels and ensures golf shop displays, and presentations are appropriate for all seasons. Presents merchandise in attractive displays and rotates displays keeping a fresh look to golf shop.

Assists in providing an excellent personal shopping experience to the members and their guests. Recommends alternatives when possible and arranges special orders when requested. Members and guests are encouraged to shop with the club and club merchandise is always promoted first.

Assists in the receiving of merchandise, pricing merchandise, entering into POS system, and monitoring inventory levels.

Assists in ensuring stockrooms are kept organized so that items are easy to locate.

Assists with inventory control on a daily, monthly, and annual basis

Is knowledgeable with Club programs, calendar and services to be able to quickly and accurately answer member phone calls and questions. When appropriate, provide "concierge-style" services to members and their guests with recommending and arranging local services. This is provided as a courtesy to the membership at no charge, fee or expectation.

Be knowledgeable of the Club's Hallmark policies and be able to professionally explain them to members and their guests. Follow established practices and procedures in a timely and appropriate manner.

Participate in creating a comfortable, inviting work environment within the golf shop

Exemplify the highest standards of professionalism, honesty, integrity, and general conduct. Take the initiative in solving member-problems and recommend appropriate solutions


Requirements

High school degree or equivalent and a minimum of 2 years related merchandising and golf industry experience.

Strong verbal communication and organizational skills.

Extensive guest service skills.

Understanding of the game of golf.

Proficient with computers and MS Office software.

Private Membership Golf Club Experience Preferred.

Valid Driver's License to drive club vehicles.

Current on the latest trends in sportswear.
