Parks Hospitality Group is an award-winning hotel development and management company dedicated to providing upscale accommodations and uniquely curated food and beverage experiences. Since 2008, Parks has partnered with Hilton and Marriott to develop a thriving portfolio of over 1,400 rooms spanning North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee. Parks is offering hotel operations internship experiences at 3 locations: Asheville, NC; Cary, NC; and Greenville, SC.

The Role:

As a Hotel Operations Intern, you won’t just observe; you’ll be an active participant in shaping the guest experience. Under the guidance of our General Managers and department leaders, immerse yourself in hands-on work, shadowing experiences, and real-world projects. The Hotel Operations Internship is a paid position and will last 10 weeks (May - July).

What You'll Do:

  • Multi-Departmental Exposure: Rotate through various departments, understanding how each contributes to the hotel's success.
  • Skill Development: Cultivate your skills and leadership potential through experiential learning.
  • Guest Interaction: Assist guests when needed, turning every interaction into a delightful experience.
  • Strategic Contribution: Provide valuable input into the development and implementation of services and processes.
  • Collaborative Innovation: Work closely with department heads, contributing to the strategic plan for each operational area.
  • Learning Beyond Boundaries: Utilize and learn systems, tools, equipment, and software essential for successful task completion.

Qualifications for Your Journey:

  • Currently enrolled in College or University with a Major in Hospitality or a related field.
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Third-year university student or higher (Junior or rising Junior).
  • Able to work a full 10 weeks without interruption.
  • Enthusiastic about hospitality, with a proactive and adaptable approach.

  • Highly motivated with a keen interest in taking on new tasks.
  • Adaptability to navigate various departments and projects.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
