12 hour day shifts, 0600 to 1830, every third weekend/holiday rotation /.6 FTE


Critical thinking skills and the ability to assist the nurse in caring for patients primarily in Med/Surg; floats to Emergency Department as ED Tech; assist in OB as needed. Supports hospital operations by maintaining the nursing station; gathering and providing information to professional staff, patients, and their families; providing clerical services. Also provides some direct patient care as directed by the Shift Supervisor and/or Staff Nurse.

HUC: Acts as the central contact person for the nursing units (Med Surg, ED and OB); performs transcription, clerical, and reception duties. Critical thinking and computer skills required; working knowledge of office equipment including, but not limited to, fax machines, copy machines, printers, and computers. All other duties as assigned within the scope of HUC practice.

CNA: Assists the nurse to carry out the nursing process to deliver the highest quality nursing care. As a patient advocate, he/she coordinates the care of the patient through collaboration with the nursing team. The CNA provides daily patient cares, activities, and other tasks as delegated by the nursing staff. He/she monitors and Interacts frequently with all patient service departments; utilizes interdisciplinary input to plan, implement and evaluate care. All other duties as assigned within the scope of CNA practice.

CNA with current Wisconsin Certification or the ability to obtain.

BLS certified.

Prefer 1 year Med/Surg or hospital experience.

Exemplary telephone etiquette, good interpersonal skills and the ability to adapt to interruptions and changing priorities.

High level of attention to detail Medical terminology and keyboarding/word processing skills
