- Directs food preparation and collaborates with General Manager.
- Helps in the design of food and drink menu.
- Produces high quality plates, including both design and taste.
- Maintains communication with suppliers to assess new dishes that evolve our menu and keep it refreshed.
- Oversees and supervises kitchen staff.
- Assists with menu planning, inventory, and management of supplies.
- Ensures that food is top quality and that kitchen is in good condition.
- Keeps stations clean and complies with food safety standards.
- Offers suggestions and creative ideas that can improve upon the kitchens performance.
- Proficiency in crafting sophisticated alcohol-food pairings.
- Schedules staff shifts.
- Certified in ServSafe or equivalent accreditation in the industry.
- Trains new employees.
- Orders food supplies.
- Monitors and maintains kitchen equipment.
- Solves problems that arise and seizes control of issues in the kitchen.
- Carry out inventories and analyze losses weekly, ensuring that you have a food cost close to the theoretical cost.
- Present computer skills and keeps recipes updated in the system ensuring clarity in Inventories.
