FIRE ALARM TECHNICIAN

Job Description

VetPride Services, Inc. is seeking fire alarm technicians to inspect, test, maintain, and repair installed fire alarm detection and suppression systems in accordance with manufacturer's specifications and Nationals Fire Protection Association standards.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Visually inspect fire alarm equipment
• Replace defective components
• Test transmitter and conduct needed repairs
• Check pressure gauges on suppression systems storage containers
• Recharge or replace suppression system storage containers

Qualifications and Skills

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Will be subject to a pre-employment criminal background and DMV check.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Consistent attendance and reliability required.
• Ability to effectively read, write, and speak English.
• Must have the ability to work independently and within established guidelines, follow directions, and work well with others.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 5 years’ experience and/or formal vocational/technical training

Note: Each complete year of accredited college education in a related field may be substituted for the equivalent number of years of required experience

Required Licenses or Certifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must possess a valid/current state issued driver's license
