Position Purpose:

The Software Test Technician will assess Enterprise software quality through manual testing and is responsible for work order setup of automated tests. The Software Tester is responsible for testing Enterprise software to ensure compliance with the test plan through the finding and reporting of bugs and usability issues.

Education & Experience:

  • High School Diploma required (some college preferred)
  • The ability to document and troubleshoot errors
  • CompTIA (or similar) Network+ Certification preferred.

Responsibilities & Essential Functions:

  • Follow software test plans for regression testing of all software releases
  • Evaluate automated testing results for all software projects
  • Report bugs and errors to the appropriate Software Engineering team
  • Conducts post-release/post-implementation testing of all software projects
  • Independently follows work instructions to initiate large-scale overnight tests
  • Deploys enterprise software packages to all applicable testing environments
  • Documents project specific Knowledge Based articles.
  • Ensure that PCs and servers are patched monthly and tested against the latest Generally Available software versions.
  • Defaults and reconfigures all camera model types as needed
  • Creates and maintains WikiJS knowledge-based articles.

Work Environment & Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to sit for much of the workday with periodic walking and/or standing.
  • Must be able to work in an office environment.
  • This position is full-time and onsite in Belmont (Plainfield Township), MI.
