Job Description: The Maintenance Technician is a hands-on role, supporting general maintenance of our facility in Cassopolis, MI and assisting in the buildout of our state-of-the-art cannabis cultivation facility. Highway Horticulture is a vertically-integrated cannabis company based in Southwest Michigan. The Maintenance Technician will work side-by-side with our Chief Cultivation Officer, Retail Director and contractors, making sure the facility and building projects are completed safely, accurately and timely. This may require assisting contractors with acquiring supplies, performing basic maintenance, repairs and troubleshooting for the facility. The ideal candidate will be someone who can work effectively with little direction, with strong problem-solving skills, comfortable working with tools and operating equipment safely. Job Responsibilities: •\tReceive packages and coordinate placement of shipments in the facility
•\tPerform preventative maintenance and general troubleshooting on equipment and building
•\tMaintain accurate equipment inventory and service records
•\tCoordinate more complex repairs and warranty resolutions with vendors and contractors
•\tAssist subcontractors with electrical, HVAC and other installations
•\tCoordinate for snow removal, lawn care and other facility maintenance contracts
•\tClean and repair building fixtures including lights, windows, doors, screens, walls, floors, gutters, and drains
•\tPurchase necessary supplies, equipment and materials in order to complete projects
•\tPossibly travel to our Marshall facility to assist with projects there
•\tPerform ad hoc jobs and projects as needed
Job Requirements: •\tMust be at least 21 years of age
•\tValid driver’s license
•\tExperience working under OSHA safety guidelines
•\tMust be able to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly
•\tMust be able to bend, kneel, stoop and use a ladder
