Job Summary:
The Blending Operator is responsible for safely operating blending equipment. Blending Operators will periodically check the finished product for conformity to HPI standards. This position is a full-time employment or temp to hire position on a fixed work schedule.
Responsibilities
o Read work order to determine production specifications and information.
o Accurately weigh or measure material, ingredients and products to ensure conformance to HPI standards.
o Collect samples of product for laboratory testing according to procedures.
o Record production data on specified forms.
o Safe use of material handling equipment to load and unload product for further processing.
o Secure and store product in appropriate storage areas.
o Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
o Follow safety procedures and wear PPE as required.
o Other tasks deemed necessary by the Shift Lead, Coordinator or Corporate Management.
Working Conditions
o Warehouse and manufacturing environment.
o Exposures encountered: noise, extreme heat and cold, dust, forklift traffic and occasional outdoor work.
o Essential physical requirements: standing on concrete for long periods, climbing stairs, lifting, stooping, and bending.
o Frequently lift and or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and or move up to 75 pounds.
o Occasional weekend work and overtime.
Qualifications
o High School diploma or equivalent.
o Demonstrate the ability to follow written instructions.
o Perform basic math calculations.
o Basic computer knowledge.
o Regular and punctual attendance.
Preferred Qualifications
o Previous forklift experience.
o One year of work experience in plastics manufacturing environment.
o Understand or knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices.
Pay = Experience
Shift Premium included if you work 2nd or 3rd Shift
