Accounting Assistant

Stan's Bootery Inc. in New Berlin, WI is looking to hire a full-time Accounting Assistant to provide accounting and general office support for Stan's, Goodmiles Running Company, The Vionic Store, & Waxberg's Walk Shoppe. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN ACCOUNTING ASSISTANT

As an Accounting Assistant, you provide accounting support for our company. You carefully enter all vendor invoices into Quickbooks, match receiving logs and check stubs to invoices, and accurately file them. Skillfully audit store receipts and communicate with stores about corrections that need to be made. You assist the Accounting Manager with year-end closing and physical inventory reconciliation.

Each day, you retrieve and sort mail and perform additional general office tasks such as office supply organization and distribution to stores as required. You get great satisfaction from helping our business and stores succeed!

QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN ACCOUNTING ASSISTANT

• Associate degree in Accounting/Finance or 5 years of applicable experience
• Solid understanding of accounting concepts
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Google Suite
• High attention to detail as well as critical thinking and problem-solving skills

Experience with Quickbooks is preferred. Are you highly organized and detail-oriented? Can you work well independently and as part of a team? Are you a good communicator? If yes, you might just be perfect for this finance position!

WORK SCHEDULE FOR AN ACCOUNTANT / BOOKKEEPER

This accounting assistant position is full-time and typically works Monday - Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM. This position is a minimum of 4 days per week in-office with the option to work one day virtually with supervisor approval.
