Principal Structural Engineer

Hazen is currently seeking applicants for a Mid Level Structural Engineer for a full-time employment opportunity in our Columbus office. Prospective applicants must have between 5 and 15 years of experience and have a BS degree in Civil Engineering with a Structural Concentration from an ABET accredited institution. Prospective applicants must also have a Professional Engineering (PE) license or ability to obtain such in the State of Ohio.

• This position will require skills in the analysis, design, and construction of environmental structures such as Industrial Buildings, Pump Stations, Process Basins, and Treatment Facilities. The selected individual will lead the structural design and construction administration responsibilities for major projects usually involving upgrades to wastewater, water and reclaimed water treatment plants.
• Experience in design and construction of structural steel, reinforced concrete, reinforced masonry, and aluminum is required as well as knowledge of applicable building codes, design standards including ACI, AISC, ASCE, and structural analysis and design software.
• Candidates must be effective communicators and be able to successfully work in a multi-discipline team environment.
• Candidate will play a key role in significant infrastructure projects in the greater Columbus area.
