The Priory Hotel is a boutique 42-room hotel in Downtown Pittsburgh on the city's North shore.

Pittsburgh's Grand Hall at the Priory is Western Pennsylvania's most historic event venue.

Maintenance Personnel Job Description

All maintenance personnel will be responsible for the general cleanliness and upkeep of all Priory Hospitality Group. Maintenance technicians will be expected to be able to complete a wide variety of tasks and should possess general knowledge in areas such as heating and cooling systems, plumbing, woodworking, electrical, and painting.

In addition to these general duties listed below, maintenance staff must also help guests with any needs they may have and always meet guests with a smile and polite greeting. Maintenance staff should also be aware of daily hotel events and functions outside of their immediate department so as to be able to answer any questions a guest may have.


Specific responsibilities:

  • Personnel will be expected to inspect the property daily for any damage caused by guests or general wear and tear on the building
  • Personnel should keep outdoor areas clean and maintain landscaping on a daily basis
  • All maintenance storage and work areas should be kept clean and organized
  • Personnel should check in each morning with the front desk staff or a manager to inquire about any maintenance issues that may have arisen since their last shift
  • Personnel should be able to independently assess a project and decide the most efficient and cost effective course of action to repair the issue.
  • Housekeepers must adhere to all policies laid out in the Priory Hospitality Group employee handbook.
  • Completion of any other tasks assigned by manager or owners
