Job Summary:

The Maintenance Technician at Stroudsmoor Country Inn is responsible for overseeing day-to-day engineering operations in the lodge. This position involves project management, general life safety, ordering, and working with vendors. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for conducting preventative maintenance and repairs throughout the hotel guestrooms, public spaces, equipment, buildings, and grounds.

**You are required to work all weekends and holidays**

Responsibilities:

- Troubleshoot and perform basic repairs on various types of equipment, including pump and motor replacement.

- Handle plumbing tasks such as plunging toilets and unclogging drains.

- Perform basic repairs on electrical equipment, including replacing lamps, switches, outlets.

- Conduct cosmetic repairs on guestroom items, extension cords, vacuum cleaners, and other related equipment.

- Communicate daily activities and problems to other shifts using approved communication programs and standards.

- Ensure that all work is carried out in a safe and timely manner, adhering to safety standards and effective equipment utilization.

- Maintain a working knowledge of departmental safety procedures and attend safety training programs and in-service sessions as required.

- Keep necessary service records.

- Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures

- Perform other duties as deemed appropriate

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in the hospitality, healthcare, or related industry preferred.

- Trade-related certifications in HVAC and/or Electrical are highly desirable.

- Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance and heavier tasks with assistance.

- Proficient computer skills, including knowledge of database software, internet software, order processing systems, and Microsoft Office suite.

- Possession of a valid Driver's License.

-Must have basic own basic tools for basic repairs.
