Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY: Promote children and families' progress across the standards and as described in the Head Start Parent, Family, and Community Engagement Framework to build respectful, culturally responsive, and trusting relationships with families. Provide assistance and support to the families to ensure all state and federal standards are met. Attain knowledge of resources available in the community, and build and strengthen partnerships within community entities.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide translation on home visits for Early Head Start and Head Start
- Travel to the surrounding area to provide translation services for children/families (company car provided)
- Participate in all required meetings & trainings
- Adhere to all CNCAP-related policies and procedures
- Promote the program and agency in a positive and professional manner
QUALIFICATIONS
- A high school diploma or GED required
- Valid driver's license
- 1-3 years experience of working with children/families
- The ability to speak, read, and write fluently in both Spanish and English
SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Communication skills
- Excellent time-management and organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to work with others
SCHEDULE: Monday-Thursday
REPORTS TO: Area Manager/Education Coordinator/Coach
JOB STATUS: Part-Time/Full-Time
PAY: $14.54 - $16.16/hour (depending on qualifications)
