Mainframe Storage Engineer

Responsibilities:

⿢ Maintenance and troubleshooting of the current mainframe storage environment

⿢ Provide effective production support, including accurate problem identification, ticket documentation, and customer/vendor dialogue

⿢ Documen tsmall- to medium-scale projects and deliver presentations with minimal supervision

⿢ Dissect complex situations and refocus on critical technology tasks

⿢ Musthave a high degree of technical expertise/professional mastery to recommend process improvements

⿢ Provide Level 3/4 engineering support for the enterprise mainframe platform

⿢ Installation of software products

⿢ Recommendation of parameter changes, data analysis, and tuning recommendations

Required Skills:

⿢ Must have a minimum of 10 years of experience working in z/OS storage administration

⿢ Must have expert-level skills with IBM DS88 and TS77 storage solutions to include design, configuration, troubleshooting, and performance analysis and tuning

⿢ Expert skills in DFSMS and DFSMShss

⿢ Musthave expert skills in GDPS Global Mirror and GDPS Metro-Global Mirror

⿢ Experience in z/OS installs, configuration, and systems management

⿢ Expertz/OS performance tuning and troubleshooting

⿢ Bachelor's Degree
